We are a group of hockey players over the age of 60. Our current roster has players from age 60 through age 80. We have been playing since 1992. We enter three 70's division tournaments per year. The skill levels range from lifetime pond hockey players to college all Americans. The games are no check and no slap shots. Our goal is to have fun and get a workout! The Quincy Youth Arena is the home of the Bald Eagles with scheduled ice on Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 9am to 10:15am. Summer hours at 2 pm to 3pm Monday. Wednesday, Friday. Monday's ice is reserved for age 65 and up and Tuesday and Friday ice is open to all players over 60. While we welcome new players, we do reserve the right to limit the numbers of skaters to a manageable number (no more that 14 per team) at any given time. The Bald Eagles are dedicated and play year round except for some occasional weeks when the rink is reserved for youth hockey tournaments or closed for routine maintenance. The cost is $6.00 per player per skate. Off ice activities include charitable donations, a Christmas party, summer pool party/barbeque, occasional golf outings and others. The association is self managed with an elected board, a constitution and monthly meetings. Anyone not conforming to our policies of proper play and sportsmanship are not allowed to participate.
